I’ll be driving an i30 for the next few weeks. AMA.

It’s a good car. Auto only. B ig rental companies no longer carry manual passenger cars at all, no surprise there . But i t has an aux port and bluetooth for my music which is all I really want out of it.

I’m sending it to the best body shop for BMWs in this city. If it’s going to be repaired, I either want it done right or it’s not worth it. I’m waiting for a call back from them in the next few days. Fingers crossed.

We get the i30 as the Elantra GT here in Canada. I really like them. If I had enough money and a reason for a brand new car, one would be at the top of my list I think! With a stick though, of course!

They’re probably my favourite looking car in that segment, and i t could become very entertaining to drive   with a stick.

Fun fact: in Canada, you can get the manual GT with a sunroof for about 22k (Canadian). Down here, it’s only available with the automatic and costs about 27k US :(

Also, they don’t come in orange down here.

If I could afford a new car, I’d go up to Canada and get an orange manual GT hatchback with the big sunroof!

They really have, but they need a not-quite-white. They really do. I mean seriously. Here’s the real difference it makes:

Every time I see anyone on here post about driving an i30 I just think; D amn, too bad you couldn’t get the N version.

Though the best color is obviously red on the i30N.

Nah, red and black combo all the way. I’m slightly biased though :P. At first I also thought the “Performance Blue” looked great. But after seeing it in real life it kinda disappoints.
